If you’re new to using CBD it can be all too easy to make mistakes. Often, these mistakes so discourage customers that they give up on CBD entirely. It’s our hope that outlining what some common mistakes are can prevent these mistakes from happening!
One of the biggest challenges that new CBD customers face is understanding the timing involved in introducing it. CBD, like anything new you introduce to the body, needs time to adjust to the system. When customers expect immediate results, they are often disappointed. The median adjustment period is between 5-7 days.
Another mistake concerning timing pertains to the frequency with which CBD is given. CBD has proven to achieve its maximum benefits when taken daily. This is especially true for chronic issues.
The CBD market has exploded since the passing of the 2018 Farm Bill. This has led to a seemingly unlimited availability of CBD and hemp products. While this access is wonderful it also leads to confusion or misleading marketing.
We hear from many customers that purchase products that say, “hempseed oil” believing it to be a CBD product. However, hempseed oil is a different product than CBD oil. These products do have nutritional value but do not have the benefits expected from and provided by CBD products.
Many companies, like Suzie’s, provide general guidelines for dosing pets with CBD products. However, these guidelines are just that - general! A perfect dosage will be as unique as your specific pet and their needs.
To find the perfect dose customers should slowly increase the daily amount. As you do, keep a record of what changes you see until you are satisfied. Our CBD Treat Guide should be an aid in finding a CBD pet product that will be easy to introduce.
